4/ 5

The complex itself is very pleasant. With a modern and clean look, it manages to be relaxing and fun to stroll by. The gardens are especially warm and cozy. The art collection though, while impressive for a private collector, is not of the same level of quality. It's OK as a introductory to art exhibition but it does have many great authors, and when it does, the works are not among their most exquisite. It's definitely worth the visit but is not by any means one of the best incursions in Art History. The outside terraces provide a magnificent view over LA area. The restaurant is very elegant and has a classy food offering. Parking is provided in the lower part of the complex, at one of the ends of the tourist shuttle.

One of the best interesting points near LA and FREE. I wasn’t expecting the size of this place neither the quality of work you will find at The Getty. From arriving to the museum to enjoying the expositions, The Getty is a great place to visit. There are many great views from different spots that will take your breath. The garden area, the amazing architecture and each exposition are a real delight. Impossible to see it all in a couple of hours, so plan for a couple of days. I will be back soon. (Actually, it is not free, as you have to pay for the parking, but for what you will see inside, it is worth every penny).

Everything about The Getty Center is perfect. From the anticipatory Tram ride to the beautiful steps

5/ 5

Everything about The Getty Center is perfect. From the anticipatory Tram ride to the beautiful steps to the grand museum entrance, the place just lures you in. Of course, this is just the beginning. The featured exhibits are just immersive: I loved all three that we saw this time - Egypt and Beyond the Nile, Icons of Style and Pathways to Paradise on India and beyond. It’s quite difficult to really experience all the exhibitions in a single visit. Make sure you leave some time to enjoy the lovely water fountains, the cafes, the sculptures and the structures with white stones. There’s one more thing: The incredible Central Garden designed by Robert Irwin. You can easily spend 2 hours just relaxing at the Garden. This Irwin masterpiece is so beautiful and so detailed and so good that you lose a sense of time when you marvel at the exquisite arrangement of nature, plants, flowers, waterfall, center piece, walkway, and the bougainvillea arbors. Make sure you leave enough time for this amazing garden.

5/ 5

Amazing experience! The layout and build makes it magical to walk around. It's ease and architecture are easy for all people to maneuver thru. The art rooms are laid out so that many people can view and not be in the way each other. And the noise level is a nice talking level. There is nothing like standing in front of 2000 year old item to put your life in perspective.

Simply amazing place to visit. So many things to see here you can’t possibly fit it all into one trip. I my wife and kids here and there was never a dull moment. Even the tram to get in was fun for them. They were playing live music when we were there. We visited the Egyptian, Greek and Roman exhibits and let the kids make masks in the family exhibit. The garden and grass area was a hit with them. I only visited here once or twice while I lived here. I should have gone more often!
